Visitors descend

Last week Squiz's sister, Carolyn, and family came to visit... It was certainly a sudden drop into the life of parenthood for us... two kids certainly kept the lot of us on our toes.

They spent a couple of days with us then went to Kandy, the hill country, and saw elephants, botanic gardens and Sri Lankan culture.

Toward the end of their trip the six if us went down to our favourite beach spot, Hikkaduwa, and chilled there for a few days. The kids loved the beach and the big boys couldn't get themselves out of the surf. Squiz is actually standing pretty well now... but I have no photos to prove it.

One of the hot things to do around Colombo is buy art. There are many students selling there art on the fence of a huge park. It is cheap, original and there are lots to choose from. I bought Squiz a piece for his birhday and Carolyn and Nick bought a couple of pieces like the ones in the picture.


We'll certainly be going back to collect a few more before we head home!
