In the beginning...
Well it is about time I finally got this blog up and running....
A few things have happened this year and I imagine some of you might be interested to read about it and look at a few pics.
So it all started in January (where most years start), with me moving over to Nepal to hang with my other half, Squiz. Straight into work with no time to waste! Squiz had lined up a dream job for me... Running his organisations Staff Retreat! It was great fun to drive out into the hills around the Kathmandu Valley and "reccy" a few sites for what was to be the biggest trick the staff had ever experienced. The Retreat was advertised as an "Adventure Retreat" including white water rafting, camping, mountain biking, orienteering, trekking and a mystery activity. Little did they know that after the luring of white water rafting, they were going to be evacuated in the middle of the night, lead on a wild goose trail, walking through mine fields, bandaging each other up and being taken hostage by maoists! Ha, ha - it all worked perfectly and the feedback was brilliant!
A great way to get to know my new family at WFP!
